INSTALLING LARGE DECALS
Watch the video below for a step-by-step guide on how to install a large vinyl decal, or scroll down for written instructions.
How to Install Vinyl Decals
Follow these instructions to achieve a clean, bubble-free vinyl decal installation on vehicles, coolers, windows, walls, and other smooth surfaces.
Clean the Surface
Thoroughly clean the area using rubbing alcohol or a residue-free cleaner. Remove all dirt, dust, grease, and wax.
Position the Decal
Place the decal on the surface with the backing still attached. Align it exactly where you want it.
Tape the Top Edge
Apply a strip of masking tape along the top edge of the decal to hold it in place.
Peel the Backing
Lift the decal from the bottom and slowly peel off the backing paper, exposing the adhesive side.
Apply the Decal
Slowly lower the decal onto the surface while pressing it down with a squeegee or firm, even pressure.
Remove Transfer Tape
Once the decal is fully applied, peel off the transfer tape slowly at an angle.
Final Press
Go over the entire decal again, especially the edges, to ensure full adhesion.
Installation Tips
- Apply in moderate temperatures (not extreme heat or cold)
- Best applied to smooth, clean, non-porous surfaces
- Take your time—rushing leads to bubbles and misalignment
- Large decals benefit most from the hinge method
